Kragerø: Kittelsenhuset (Kittelsen House)

Kittelsenhuset (house of artist Theodor Kittelsen) is situated in the center of Kragerø, among charming narrow streets and lanes. The environment is almost the same as it was in 1857 when Theodor Kittelsen was born in this house.

Here you will find a permanent exhibition showing how he grew up in Kragerø, and showing information about his visits to this town as a mature artist. Kittelsen was both painter and author, and a merciless satirist.

Kittelsenhuset is a part of Berg-Kragerø Museum and Telemark Museum.
