Skogens Rom Sauna is located in the beautiful cultural landscape along the Telemark Canal, near Lunde. Designed by Furore Arkitektur, the sauna opened its doors on March 4th, 2025, and offers a peaceful oasis for relaxation and well-being. Here, you can fully enjoy nature and the calming atmosphere surrounding you. The sauna was also awarded “Newcomer of the Year 2026” by the Norwegian Sauna Association, praised as being “more than just a warm room.”
The sauna normally accommodates up to 10 people, but this summer experience is best suited for groups of up to 4 people. This ensures a comfortable and enjoyable experience regardless of the weather. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy both the sauna and the cozy living room/lounge area, which seats up to 4 people at a time.
The sauna is lightly preheated upon arrival, and the temperature rises quickly depending on how much wood you choose to add to the fire.

Skogens rom opened in 2025, with a floating sauna on the Telemark Canal as its first offering. The company is owned and run by Bodil and Olav Tveitan, and the business is rooted in Olav’s ancestral farm.
